TERMS AND CONDITIONS<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The following terms and conditions (&#8220;Terms and Conditions&#8221;) are applicable to the Scheme (as<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">defined below) and you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions, as the same may be<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">amended, supplemented, updated, replaced or otherwise varied by OAB from time to time.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">1. DEFINITIONS<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">1.1. \u201cOAB\u201d means Oman Arab Bank SAOG.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">1.2. \u201cScheme\u201d means the deposit program offered by OAB and marketed as \u201cOAB High Yield<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Account\u201d which terms and conditions are set forth herein.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">1.3. \u201cScheme Account\u201d means the OAB bank account into which the funds will be deposited<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">upon the participation in the Scheme.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">1.4. \u201cScheme Application Form\u201d means the application form filled in and signed by the<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Scheme Participant for the purposes of participating in the Scheme.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">1.5. \u201cScheme Participants\u201d means the individuals participating in the Scheme in accordance<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">with these terms and conditions.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">2. BINDING EFFECT<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">2.1. By joining the Scheme, you acknowledge and agree that these Terms and Conditions and<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">any as other information regarding the Scheme, are published and may be accessed online<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">at [https:\/\/www.oman-arabbank.com\/] , and you acknowledge and agree to keep yourself<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">updated with the most up to date and current version.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">2.2. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you continue to be subject to (i) the General<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Terms and Conditions of Account Opening, and (ii) the OAB Debit Card Terms and<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Conditions, copies of which will be made available to you upon your request.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">3. HIGH YIELD SCHEME<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">3.1. The High Yield Deposit Scheme (i.e. the Scheme) is an interest-bearing deposit scheme<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">that allows the Scheme Participants to receive returns on their deposits with OAB in the<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">terms and conditions set forth in these Terms and Conditions.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">4. DEPOSITS<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">4.1. Funds deposited into the Scheme Account must be new to OAB accounts and may not be<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">already existing funds in any of the Scheme Participant\u2019s accounts with OAB.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">4.2. The minimum deposits to be made into the Scheme Account shall be one thousand Omani<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Rials (OMR 1,000) (the \u201cMinimum Balance\u201d), which shall be maintained every month.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">4.3. Should at any day during any given month, the balance of the Scheme Account fall below<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">the Minimum Balance: (i) no interest returns are due, and (ii) the return period shall be set<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">to zero.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">5. SCHEME RETURNS<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">5.1. Scheme Participants will receive the agreed annual returns on the Minimum balance<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">available at the Scheme Account.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">5.2. The Scheme Participant shall be moved from one tier to another (upwards or downwards)<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">according to the actual Minimum balance available at the Scheme Account at the end of<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">each month.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">5.3. All return calculation will be based on:<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">(i) The date on which the actual deposits were made into the Scheme Account; and<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">(ii) The amount available in the Scheme Account.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">5.4. The above tiers and interest rates are valid till 31st December 2022, and are subject to<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">change at the Bank\u2019s sole discretion upon a seven-day notice.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">5.5. The returns shall be credited to the Scheme Participant on a monthly basis to the Scheme<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Account.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">5.6. Upon their written request, the Customer shall receive a debit card to make withdrawals<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">from the Scheme Account.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">6. INDEMNITY<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Oman Arab Bank shall not be liable for losses, damages, expenses, claims or any other<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">liability whatsoever, whether direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, special or punitive,<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">sustained by the Scheme Participants as a result of the availability, non-availability,<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">maintenance or operation of the Scheme.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">7. MISCELLANEOUS<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">7.1. All determinations to be made under the Scheme shall be made by OAB at its absolute<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">discretion and on the basis its records, and each such determination shall be final,<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">conclusive and binding.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"TableStyle2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">7.2.
