Our Story
Our journey in Oman began in 1973, when Arab Bank started operations as one of the country’s earliest banking institutions. A decade later, in 1984, Oman Arab Bank was formally established following the acquisition of Arab Bank branches in Oman. We continued to grow through strategic milestones, including the acquisition of Omani European Bank’s retail branches in 1992.
In 2020, we marked another defining chapter by acquiring Alizz Islamic Bank, becoming a publicly listed joint stock company, and strengthening our position as a subsidiary of the Arab Bank Group.
Today, Oman Arab Bank offers a comprehensive suite of retail, corporate, and Islamic financial services. With a strong focus on enhancing customer experiences across every touchpoint and delivering a state-of-the-art omnichannel banking journey, we are paving the way for the future of banking in Oman.
